This is a different type of post for me than normal. I usually post serious stuff (mental health and politics) at my other blog…..BipolarChicksBlogging. But, I wanted to know what the regular readers and people who frequently comment thought about this video.
My thoughts in it…..It disturbs the hell out of me. Not only did Obama bow, he actually denied it. His “people” released a comment saying that he was not bowing. He was bending to shake the hand of a short man! This man and his people think that we must all be fools.

I dont see the big deal about the bow itself. His predecessor kissed and held hands with him. To me, they show respect to “dignitaries” they visit whether they agree with their policies or not. To make something out of nothing seems to be the medias primary purpose. SHE TOUCHED THE QUEEN! HE BOWED TO THE KING! HE HAD ON A GREEN SOCK!
What does bug me is the ridiculous “he was bending to a short man” shit. The Queen isnt exactly an Amazon woman, and he just nodded toward her. Call a bow a bow and tell the pundits to shove it, but don’t coat a turd in caramel and tell me its chocolate.

Stan……as usual, you stun me with your wordiness. Too bad Webster wrote a dictiionary already. You would have been perfect for the job. I can’t figure out if you are really, really smart or if Seroquel has killed some random brain cells. This bears a lot of thought. V V…..I think the big deal is because bowing means much more to the Saudi Arabia crowd than it does to us. It means suboridination. I saw more than one Islam chick/dude talking about it on different news programs. They all said that bowing is proclaiming the superiority of the one bowed to. Hmmmm…..it would be easier to use the terms “bower” and “bowee” (not to be confused with David Bowie aka Ziggy Stardust or bowels)
So, let’s start over…..

Stan, I agree with you about this. To bow to someone is to show that they are above you, a higher rank, so to speak.
When Obama bowed to this idiot, he was virtually saying that America was less than them.

When you bow to someone, you are bowing to their authority over you. When he bowed to the terrorist leader, he was saying (whether he meant to or not) that America is lower than them.

What really gets to me is that Obama or none of his mouthpieces will just admit that he bowed and it was a mistake. Instead, they keep up the unbelievable story of the “two-handed hand shake”. Do they think that all Americans are idots? Well, we’re not. I guess he gets confused since he was totally surrounded by idots during his campaign. He would be greatly surprised to know that there are thinking Americans that didn’t fall for his lines of bullshit.

crone….hmmmm…..that’s a possible explanation. Too bad that I don’t buy it. I still think that he was bowing. I think that he did it automatically and really wasn’t thinking of the fallout. I don’t think that he meant to insuinate that the Saudi king was superior. I just wish that he or one of his peons would admit it. Everyone makes mistakes. People tend to forgive them when they are admitted.
